Clinical Services

Occupational Health Clinic The Center operates two occupational and environmental health clinics, one at UC San Francisco’s Mount Zion Hospital and the other at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. The clinics accept patients from surrounding communities, and from throughout Northern California. Clinical services include diagnosis and treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries, environmental health consultations, medical surveillance programs, and industrial hygiene services. The clinics provide training for occupational and environmental medicine residents, fellows, industrial hygiene, and nursing graduate students. Elective rotations are also available for residents in other primary care training programs. The San Francisco clinic specializes in evaluation of complex cases in toxicology, occupational or environmental respiratory disease, occupational neurology, reproductive toxicology, ergonomic and musculoskeletal issues. The San Francisco clinic also sees children and families with environmental health concerns related to their home, school environment, workplace, or community. The UC Davis clinic operates a mobile trailer which is taken to worksites for on-the-spot clinical assessment.
