UCSF OEHN: AAOHN Foundation Grant Awarded

We are pleased to announce that Miranda Surjadi RN, MS, ANP and Barbara Burgel RN, PhD, FAAN, faculty at UCSF’s School of Nursing, Community Health Systems, were awarded funding from the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable and the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses Foundation to conduct a survey with American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) members to determine their hepatitis C virus (HCV) competence (knowledge, attitudes, confidence) and their current HCV outreach strategies in their worksite (education, screening, linkage to care). The awardees also will determine best practices and any worksite barriers to HCV outreach. Surjadi will present a webinar for AAOHN members, and present two sessions at the AAOHN Conference in Reno in 2018.
