Thursday, February 6 (Online) &
Friday, February 7, 2025 (In-Person | Berkeley, CA)

Emergencies—ranging from infectious disease outbreaks to natural disasters—present complex and evolving challenges for workplace health and safety. Join the Northern California Centers for Occupational and Environmental Health for a two-day symposium designed to empower professionals with tools and strategies to navigate crises with confidence. Delve into the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance and examine best practices for mitigating infectious disease risks in the workplace. Identify vulnerabilities to natural disasters like earthquakes and design evidence-based preparedness strategies to safeguard workers. Engage in workshops on emergency planning and response, exploring the power of interdisciplinary collaboration and community-based approaches to enhance communication. Leave equipped with practical skills to protect workplaces, strengthen collaboration, and advance resilience in the face of emergencies.

Leverage the convenience of remote learning on Thursday, February 6th, and tune in online for a live stream on emerging research and preparedness updates, with the opportunity to view recorded lectures in advance. Then join us in person on Friday, February 7th, for a day of interdisciplinary collaboration, scenario-based workshops, and networking. Connect with peers from medicine, nursing, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and allied disciplines to improve emergency action planning and to engage in discussions around preparedness gaps and actionable next steps.
