Bio/CV:
Arthur Saenz is the Research Director for SEIU United Service Workers West, a labor union of 50,000 janitors, security officers, airport workers, arena and stadium workers. He oversees a team of researchers across California committed to supporting the union in its mission to empower service workers and their families in their fight for economic and social justice in the workplace and communities. Arthur has been with SEIU-USWW since 2013. Prior to joining the union, he was an adjunct faculty member at San Diego State University and local community colleges.
Research interests:
Labor economics, quantitative research methods, climate crisis and health, immigration, income inequity, organized labor in the 21st century.
