Area(s) of Interest: Dominic is an MPH candidate in the Environmental Health Sciences department with an emphasis in Human Factor/Ergonomics at the School of Public Health. Her current interests include working with essential workers to prioritize their health and safety in the workplace, physical ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.

Project(s): Dominic has been involved in a couple of research projects at the UC Ergonomics Lab. In the exoskeleton use among Spanish-speaking construction workers project, Spanish-speaking construction workers were recruited and administered a survey to see the perceived barriers, benefits, and adoptions of exoskeletons the workers have. Dominic is currently working on an online survey to send out to janitors in California to see what their role is in the re-opening of California. The survey asks questions on how COVID-19 has affected the workload of different janitors, safe cleaning and disinfection, and its impact on janitors' physical and mental health.
