Area(s) of Interest: Javier is a Ph.D. student, visiting from Chile, in the Environmental Health Sciences department with an emphasis in Human Factor/Ergonomics at the School of Public Health. He is researching Climate Change and its physical impact on firefighters. The research topics have environmental variables such as temperature and human variables such as physical capacity, internal temperature, and fatigue, among others. He is investigating this issue to prevent the death of workers while fighting fires.
