Area(s) of Interest: Lena is a PhD trainee in Biological Systems Engineering working with Professor Fathallah on the use of ultrasound and machine learning/artificial intelligence approaches to identify various spinal disorders among farmworkers with the goal of providing an alternative early-stage diagnostic techniques for farmworkers with various spinal disorders. Lena received her BS in Biological Systems Engineering from UC Davis and has been a Teaching Assistant for the undergraduate Biomechanics and Ergonomics course (EBS 128) at UC Davis.
