Dr. Prado completed her doctoral research and received her PhD from UC Davis in June 2021. She is currently a National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute postdoctoral fellow at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work and the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, Austin, under the guidance of a steering committee at University of Texas Health in San Antonio.
